Back to Eating Regularly
It has been almost a week since I broke my last seven day dry-fast. For about three days after breaking the fast I was able to maintain a mindset similar to the fasting one by drinking green juices, and eating raw. On the fifth day after completing the fast, I had a job interview, so I ate at this organic grocery store where I buy my some of my produce. Their food is pretty good, but probably not as healthy as my own preparations. I had a raw falafel, a cooked soup, and after eating all that food, I was still hungry. I decided to have one of their cheeseburgers. I guess it’s the healthiest type of cheeseburger you can find in Buenos Aires, but it still a cheeseburger.
Before my job interview, I had a vegan “chile sin carne” at an other healthy grocery store in Palermo close to where I was going to be interviewed. At night, I went to my favorite restaurant at the moment where they only serve raw, vegan and vegetarian dishes. When I got back home and started to think about all the food I had throughout the day, I came to the realization that I did not enjoy all this food outside of the home as much as used to. I found everything excessively sugary, or salty. To counterbalance a bit, yesterday I prepared all my food at home. I’m feeling better today. I really miss the mental energy and the mindset I had during my fast. I’m planning on doing a short 40 hour fast tomorrow, in order to have good start for the week. I’m still trying to find the optimum balance, but I find it to be pretty challenging. I can not be dry-fasting constantly, and when get back to eating regularly, at times, I tend to eat way too much.
