Fasting Three Consecutive Days a Week I

I was able to increase my productivity this week. I ended up dry-fasting for three and a half days (for about 90 hours to be more exact – From Saturday night to Wednesday afternoon). On Wednesday and Thursday I’ve only eating raw food prepared at home. On Friday I went out and had a raw dish at Buenos Aires Verde.  Last night, my last meal of the week was some cooked fish in shrimp sauce at the Peruvian restaurant La Conga.

Today is Sunday, and I’ve been dry-fasting again. If I had to describe how I’ve been feeling throughout the week, and how it has been affecting my overall productivity; I would say that during the fasting, and eating at home periods, my mood, energy and productivity levels were near optimum.  Although delicious, the two meals I had outside of the house had a slowing down effect on my metabolism. I’ve been experiencing a major change in my taste for food. I tend to find dishes I eat outside of home way too rich at times. It seems like I don’t need food to be as seasoned to be tasty anymore. It seems to me that I have developed a taste for appreciating the true natural taste of ingredients.

This week was an almost perfect week for me. Maybe I should have only eaten one meal out, instead of two. I am going to try to repeat what I have done this week, meaning fasting for three days, and then eat about 95% raw at home.

Overall I am very satisfied with the progress I’ve been making. Having included dry-fasts into my weekly routine, seem to have a great positive effect on my well-being. I have a good amount of energy, and a strong desire to be productive and go forward with what I want to do. It seems to me, with dry-fasting comes the immediate effect of well being which I experience during the actual fast.  In addition, by  dry-fasting regularly, my overall health and well being seem to be constantly improving.  I consider dry-fasting to be my main tool on this journey towards a healthier living.
